After making a strong impression at the 2023 Oceania Nepali Sports Meet (ONSM) in Canberra, where they battled their way to the semi-finals, Team Tasmania is back—hungrier, sharper, and more determined than ever to make a deeper run in ONSM 2025, taking place in Perth, Western Australia.
This marks the second appearance for Team Tasmania at the ONSM, and the squad has returned with a blend of experience, youthful energy, and renewed focus. With an upgraded roster and strengthened support system, the team is aiming high and looking to make the island state proud.

A Squad Full of Talent and Grit
Led by Captain Khem Raj Poudel, a consistent batsman, reliable behind the stumps, and a true leader on and off the field, the team exudes confidence. Vice-captain Sandip Adhikari, an explosive all-rounder and dynamic fielder, brings flair and balance to the squad.
One of the most exciting additions this year is Bikram Sob, whose international experience with the Nepal National Team in 2021 has elevated the team’s potential. His presence adds depth, skill, and invaluable game sense.

The Brains Behind the Team
Team Tasmania is in good hands with a highly experienced support crew. Coach Amrit Bhattarai, a former Nepal national player who has represented the country from the U-19 level to the senior squad, brings a wealth of experience. He was also part of the historic team that played in the ICC T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in 2014.
Mentor Prakash Upreti has been instrumental in shaping the team's mental and strategic approach, offering insights and guidance at every step. Team Manager Sujan Dhungel ensures the squad stays organised, focused, and ready for the big stage.
Bringing the Hurricane to the West
With only days remaining until the tournament begins, Team Tasmania has been putting in the hard yards at training—fielding drills, net sessions, and practice matches are sharpening every aspect of their game. Dressed in their Hobart Hurricanes-inspired purple kit, they are ready to bring the storm to Perth.
