ROUND 5 WRAP
Match 1 – Gurkha Legends vs Yeti Cricket Club (Eady St Oval)
Gurkha Legends continued their blistering form with a commanding 107-run win over Yeti Cricket Club. A powerhouse knock from Sandip Adhikari (70 off 29, 4 fours, 6 sixes) set the tone as Legends piled on a huge total and controlled the game throughout. Yeti showed flashes of resistance, but the pressure proved too much as Legends tightened their hold on top spot.
Match 2 – Launceston Nepali CC vs Everest Stars (Cressy Recreation Ground)
LNCC made it back-to-back wins, defeating Everest Stars by 8 wickets. Everest Stars were steady early but couldn’t push beyond 104. LNCC made light work of the chase thanks to a brilliant all-round display from Ashish Chand, who scored 70 off 54* with 6 fours and 3 sixes, and delivered 2/10 off 4 overs.
Match 3 – Capital Dragons vs Moonlight Rhinos (Eady St Oval)
Moonlight Rhinos remained undefeated with a strong 6-wicket victory over Capital Dragons. The Dragons fought hard with contributions from Sulove and Rohit, but Rhinos’ bowling proved decisive. Sushant Sedhai was exceptional with 4/13 off 3 overs, setting up a composed chase that keeps Rhinos firmly in the top bracket.
Match 4 – Envision CC vs Kathmandu Warriors (Eady St Oval)
Kathmandu Warriors produced one of the most dominant displays of the season, beating Envision CC by 127 runs. The innings was built around a classy and controlled knock from Sunder Kandel (85 off 55)*, supported by consistent partnerships throughout. Envision struggled to keep pace and were eventually bundled out, as the Warriors strengthened their push towards the upper half of the table.
ROUND 6 PREVIEW
Match 1 – Everest Stars vs Expert Cricket Club TAS (Weily Park)
A crucial mid-table contest to kick off the round. Expert CC sit in a stable position and will look to climb further, while Everest Stars continue their search for a breakthrough win. Both teams have plenty riding on this fixture.
Match 2 – Launceston Nepali CC vs Capital Dragons (Cressy Recreation Ground)
LNCC enter with confidence after two strong wins, while the Dragons are desperate to bounce back. Momentum heavily favours LNCC, but Dragons have the firepower to flip the script.
Match 3 – Yeti Cricket Club vs Envision Cricket Club (Weily Park)
A battle at the bottom of the table as both Yeti and Envision chase their first win of the season. Expect intensity — both sides know this match could define their second-half campaign.
Match 4 – Moonlight Rhinos vs Gurkha Legends (Weily Park)
The marquee clash of Round 6. Two undefeated sides meet in what could be the biggest match of the season so far. Rhinos have been consistent and composed; Legends explosive and dominant. Expect fireworks as both teams fight for top spot.
