Champions Off the Field – A Salute to TNCA Volunteers

At the Tasmanian Nepalese Cricket Association (TNCA), we believe that behind every boundary scored, every event organised, and every smile at a community gathering — there’s a volunteer making it happen.

This National Volunteer Week (Monday 19 – Sunday 25 May 2025), we celebrate and honour you — our incredible volunteers — who bring life, heart, and purpose to our mission year after year.

From the early morning setups at grounds across Hobart to the late evening pack-ups after matches, from running junior blasters with boundless enthusiasm to managing chaos at fundraising barbecues and keeping scores under pressure — you’ve shown time and time again what true dedication looks like. Whether you’re part of our executive team or a parent lending a hand on the sidelines, your contribution has created something bigger than just cricket — it’s created community.

We’ve seen you give your weekends to coach junior players. We’ve watched you serve meals at events, hand out kits with pride, cheer in the rain, sweep the pitches and dry the outfield after unexpected showers— all so the match could go ahead. Your generosity isn’t measured in hours — it’s measured in memories created, friendships forged, and opportunities made possible.

You’ve helped us run tournaments, celebrate cultural milestones, support youth and women’s programs, and even represent Tasmania on national stages like the Oceania Nepali Sports Meet. Without your passion and presence, none of this would be possible.

To every person who has volunteered with TNCA — whether once or a hundred times — we say: thank you. You are the true heroes behind the scenes. Your time, your energy, and your unwavering spirit make this journey extraordinary.
